Mr Collinson's Maths
Counting
This week, 34O can practice their counting skills! Watch and sing along with the videos below!
NB: What is important for the class is to get the order of the numbers correct and start to understand that the number refers to a set amount of things. If you want to extend this knowledge, then get your child to count objects around the house. For most of the learners they can count to ten confidently but some may be able to count to twenty! For our sensory learners, it is important that they listen and engage with the song and get used to hearing the order of the numbers. Our sensory learners can also practice picking up one or two objects.
How to deliver Jabadao at home
\This activity is good for developing social interaction skills, it allows you to get to know your child better and to follow their lead. It is hoped that the child will develop an awareness that they are being copied and become more interested in your responses than the activity they are doing. Most importantly it should be fun
Listening - Follow instruction
Use the ‘Simon Says’ activity to develop skills related to following directions and action words. Play with the whole family. Why not add more physical activity to help support your child regulate. Use the visual cards to support your child if they need it.
