Key Stage 4 do "CAPCOM GO!"
The Key Stage 4 humanities class had a fantastic day this week at the World Museum in Liverpool. Following on from our History topic of “space travel” last half term we visit their incredible planetarium for a show. We spent about 3/4 hour in the planetarium itself with a fantastic domed film taking us through the history of space travel and really made us feel like we were travelling through time and space. The 'explainer' at the museum was really informative and answered any questions we had. He also talked to us about the different size, distance and materials of the planets in our solar system. We then got to spend some time in the space and time part of the museum, looking at real moon dust, old and ancient space observation equipment. We also got to watch a recording of when the British astronaut, Tim Peake, was on the International Space Station and recorded a video call with a group of school children who got chance to ask him questions. All round a fantastic day. The World Museum in Liverpool is well worth a trip with exhibits on the dinosaurs, ancient Egypt amongst other displays. https://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/world-museum
