Work Experience success-
Two FE students from the Step on group attended an external work experience at The Old Library café in Waterfoot. They transferred their catering and employability skills to enable them to carry out many tasks within the placement. These included working front of house, serving customers, clearing plates and cleaning the tables and chairs.
They also followed a recipe to make four batches of shortcrust pastry, peeled apples and made an apple pie. They also made a Lemon tray bake. The feedback was very positive and the pie was delicious.
